Made to order

Turqueta is a handwoven armchair in natural esparto grass over a solid pine frame, made by Lets Pause using the traditional pleita weaving technique. Its squared, generous form has a strong rustic presence that settles easily into entrances, living rooms, hallways and bedrooms.

Artisans braid strands of raw esparto (Stipa tenacissima) into a plait up to five centimetres wide, then stitch them together by hand with a wooden needle and natural-fibre cord. The esparto is left completely untreated, so it mellows naturally from green to a warm, golden tone over time.
